Teacher Suspended for Alleged Sex

(McCandless, Pennsylvania) A 28-year-old English teacher at North Allegheny High School, Julie Stimmel, was escorted from campus after being suspended from her teaching position due to a suspected sexual relationship with a 17-year-old male student.

Allegheny County Police and the school system are investigating the situation. To date, no charges have been filed.

A woman has given up her teaching certificate amid allegations that she had sex with a 17-year-old North Allegheny student.

Julie Stimmel, 29, surrendered her teaching certificate from the state, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

To date, no charges have been filed against Stimmel. However, Allegheny County authorities are reportedly continuing to investigate.
