(Nashua, New Hampshire) In December 2006, 32-year-old married mother of two sons, Jennifer Malone, was found guilty of kidnapping after a mere 90 minutes deliberations by a jury. On Monday of this week, she was sentenced.

So, Malone walks on the kidnapping conviction and gets a year for stalking. Why the kidnapping charge was not taken more seriously is not known. Agreed, the kid was a juvenile offender but she was the adult who failed to act responsibly.A Canterbury woman was sentenced to one year in prison today after running away to Florida with her teenage lover and 8-year-old son last June. Jennifer Malone, 32, was found guilty of kidnapping 16-year-old Christopher Cole of Nashua in December because she took him across state lines without his parents' permission. She also pleaded guilty to stalking him; while free on bail, she showed up at his work site.
She received a one-year sentence for the stalking conviction and a suspended three-to-six year sentence for kidnapping. She also must register as a sex offender.
