Teacher Arrested for Stealing from Students
(Tampa, Florida) A 32-year-old special education teacher at Chamberlain High School, Cheryl Foster-Lawrentz, was arrested last week for allegedly stealing almost $10,000 from a student prom fund. Reportedly, Foster-Lawrentz deposited 21 checks from the student fund into her personal credit union account.
On Friday, the school reported that an additional $2,500 was also missing.
Foster-Lawrentz was charged with grand theft and organized fraud. She was booked into the Hillsborough County Jail and released on $5,000 bond.
