Bar Girl Fingers Absconding Brit Client

(Pattaya, Thailand) This report is amusing, I think.

From Pattaya Daily News:

An Englishman tricked a bar girl into going for a "short time" in a Pattaya hotel, then beat her up and stole her cash and a gold bracelet. The bar girl, initially "played possum", pretending to be dead and then got up to pursue him, clad only in a towel.

Hearing the commotion, a "Good Samaritan vigilante motorcycle taxi driver" joined the chase, caught up with the Brit and stopped him. Police then arrested him. Neither the bar girl nor the Brit were named in the report.

The Brit claimed he had no money but police found 10,000 Thai Baht in his pocket. Checking the current exchange rate, 10,000 Thai Baht equals about $300.

One would imagine that ripping off a bar girl for a "short time" and risking time in a Thai prison is pretty stupid.
