Boy Impersonator Guilty in Sex Case

(Everett, Washington) In April, a 30-year-old woman, Lorelei Josephine Corpuz, was arrested for molesting a 14-year-old girl. Corpuz told the girl that she was actually a 17-year-old boy named Mark and the girl bought it.

After Corpuz was arrested for an unrelated offense, her impersonation scheme became known to the girl's family and the police were alerted to the sex offense. Police were also told that Corpuz physically assaulted the girl. Ultimately, Corpuz was booked on suspicion of child rape and a June trial date was scheduled.

Yesterday in Snohomish County Superior Court, Corpuz pleaded guilty to one count of third-degree felony child molestation in accordance with a plea agreement. The prosecution is expected to ask for one year in jail at sentencing and subsequent registration as a sex offender. Corpuz will be sentenced on June 18th.

But, there is more. Corpuz faces additional prosecution in Snohomish and Kitsap Counties for fraud, theft and sex crimes. She allegedly pulled the boy-impersonation stunt with a 15-year-old Bremerton girl three years ago.

Corpuz was ordered into custody without bail until her sentencing.
