(Potsdam, New York) A 22-year-old Huntington Beach, California, woman, Kathryn Brauch, has been arrested for rape of a 13-year-old boy she met on the Internet. Brauch also is alleged to have sent the boy porn. It appears there is a paucity of 13-year-old boys in California so Brauch traveled 3,000 miles to meet up with the Potsdam youth.
Brauch faces charges of rape, criminal sexual conduct and disseminating indecent material to a minor. She was booked into custody with bail set at $50,000.

The boy's 40-year-old mother, Maria Conklin, has been charged with misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a child for allowing the relationship between her son and Brauch.
