Animals Rescued From Dinner Tables

(NYC) A group of NYC Buddhists "rescued" about $7,000 worth of frogs, eels and turtles from Manhattan Chinatown restaurants and released them last Sunday into the Passaic River in New Jersey.

The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection is investigating. The Buddhist animal-lovers face possible fines of up to $1,000.
