China Airlines Paints Away Negative Image

(Naha, Okinawa, Japan) The spectacular fire that gutted a China Airlines Boeing 737-800 on Monday produced no casualties -- thankfully! Investigators suspect fuel leaked from the plane during taxiing after landing and ignited on the hot tarmac.

Several official teams are investigating the incident. China Airlines officials responded quickly to paint over the company's name and logo on the burned-out debris.

Before and After

Company management was concerned about the extensive news reports and video footage possibly damaging its image.
