Paypal Problems

StatCounter recently had some significant problems with Paypal, the most serious of which was double billing of customers. Attempts to resolve the issue(s) with Paypal were not answered and frustrating.

StatCounter even sent out a warning to all its subscribers to be aware of Paypal's non-responsiveness and check their own accounts for double-billing. Repeated attempts by StatCounter to contact Paypal and resolve the issue(s) were seemingly ignored. Be sure to check the comment thread at the link. It's quite informative.

Ultimately, StatCounter received a response from Paypal. It remains to be seen whether the problems will go away. It's fairly clear that many, many people are pissed at Paypal.
