Virginia Teacher Nabbed for Crack

(Culpeper County, Virginia) A 35-year-old first-grade teacher at Emerald Hill Elementary School, Michele Lynne Auville, was arrested Saturday for alleged possession of a controlled substance. Auville was the passenger in a car that tried to elude police and a smoking device for crack cocaine was found in her possession.

Auville was arrested on the scene and released on $2,500 bond.

According to Culpeper County Public School spokeswoman Marla McKenna, Auville submitted her resignation on Monday. A student teacher will oversee Auville's class until school ends on June 10.

Auvill has a court appearance scheduled for June 11.
