Alexander Solzhenitsyn b.1918 - d.2008
(Moscow, Russia) Russian writer Alexander Solzhenitsyn died earlier today at his home in the Moscow area. The Nobel Prize recipient died of either a stroke or a heart attack according to differing reports.
He was 89 and had suffered from high blood pressure.
Russian President Dmitry Medvedev sent condolences to Solzhenitsyn's family.
