City Mayor Wants Ugly Women

(Mount Isa, Australia) Mayor John Molony of this heavily-male, mining community has appealed for "ugly" women to come, live and find love in Mount Isa. Molony's exact words, reportedly, were:
"If there are five blokes to every girl, we should find out where there are beauty-disadvantaged women and ask them to proceed to Mount Isa."
Molony also said that ugly women appeared happy with a five-to-one male-to-female ratio which is hardly surprising.

In any event, it doesn't take a genius to figure out that Mayor Molony has pissed off every woman in and around Mount Isa along with every radical feminist and uglo-Australian woman who knows what he said. This is obvious despite whether he used "not so attractive" or "beauty disadvantaged" to euphemistically define "ugly."
"There's a lot of anger circulating among the community at the moment - a lot of passionate anger," Mount Isa Chamber of Commerce manager Patricia O'Callaghan told The Associated Press on Monday.

"There's a lot of women voicing their opinions."
Molony said he's been "shredded" by the response.

To retaliate, I would recommend that the women of Mount Isa prepare a portfolio of photographs of male residents of the city and post it on the Internet. After all, it's only fair that the beauty-disadvantaged women have a chance to confront their accusers and show the world who is calling them ugly. Providing a clue while remarking on the five-to-one ratio, Mount Isa resident Anna Warrick said, "The odds are good, but the goods are odd."

I'm thinking a Studmuffins of the Outback calendar might be a bestseller.

As an aside, I'd suggest that if Mayor Molony seriously wants ugly women, he should locate the closest Code Pink or Breasts Not Bombs activists cell. Photographs indicate that those groups are comprised of women who seem to purposely groom unpleasantness into their individual and collective appearance.

[Update]

The women of Mount Isa have planned a protest for tomorrow on the grounds of the Civic Center.
