(Vallejo, California) Two local men were arrested early yesterday for allegedly siphoning gasoline from parked U-Haul trucks. An officer on patrol noticed the men hiding underneath the trucks about 1:20 AM.
Those men were identified as Jerrell Rouse, 19, and Matthew Jenkins, 20. The officer found that the two men were apparently siphoning gasoline from several of the U-Haul trucks.Rouse and Jenkins were booked into custody at the Solano County Jail. They are being held on charges of petty theft, tampering with a vehicle, trespassing and conspiracy.
They had several 5-gallon sized buckets and had begun filling them.

(Covina, California) And then there's this story where a 28-year-old man from Glendale, Sisak Khudaverdyan, allegedly used stolen credit card information in purchasing $250-worth of gasoline, bypassing his fuel tank and filling storage drums hidden in his van.
Reportedly, he reprogrammed stolen gift cards with stolen credit card information to obtain the gas. Interestingly, Khudaverdyan was out on bail after being arrested for a similar offense in Ventura County.
Khudaverdyan was booked into custody on multiple felonies with bail set at $1 million.
