National Feral Cat Day

Mark your calendars, animal lovers. Thursday is the day for people to go and round up stray cats so that they can be examined by a veterinarian, spayed or neutered and immunized. Afterward, somebody pays the vet and the strays are released to their normal haunts.

Curiously, one can easily suspect that the people who help stray cats are the same people who voice complaints about the decline in the number of native songbirds. Logically, when Sylvester runs loose, Tweety is in danger.

Meanwhile, no information is available on the National Pack of Wild Dogs Day.
