(Cincinnati, Ohio) A 29-year-old local mom, Kena Ross, was convicted yesterday of child endangerment for handcuffing her two children, ages 4 and 5, to keep them away from food.
Ross told investigators she wanted to make welfare groceries last long and she had no choice but to handcuff her kids because the refrigerator lock was not working.Ross' boyfriend, Christopher Gray, faces similar charges.
Doctors noticed cuff marks when her 4-year-old son was treated for burns on his hand.
Ross faces up to ten years in prison when she goes before a judge on Nov. 14.
