(Fulton County, Georgia) A 32-year-old counselor at Woodland Charter Elementary School, Amy Syrinek-Ross, faces a charge of simple battery for allegedly assaulting a 10-year-old girl in a restroom of a bowling alley.
A witness told police that Ross was going through the child’s skirt pocket before grasping her forearm and placing her hands on the child’s hips, Woodstock police spokesman Det. Paul Brown said.A warrant was issued for Syrinek-Ross' arrest.
Investigators said that Syrinek-Ross appeared to be intoxicated and had slurred speech during questioning at the bowling alley.
“We were told that she was telling the girl how cute and pretty she looked,” Brown said. “The officers said there was a strong smell of alcohol. She identified herself as a teacher to both the child and woman who witnessed the incident.”
