Texas Juvie Counselor Arrested for Sex with Boy

(Austin, Texas) A 47-year-old social worker, Cynthia Kathaleen Brown, has been arrested for alleged drug use and sex with a juvenile she was counseling. Brown has been charged with improper sexual activity and hindering prosecution.

Brown was booked into custody with bond set at $60,000. Her employment with the Texas Juvenile Probation System was terminated.

(Austin, Texas) The 52-year-old mother of the juvenile victim, Magdalene Bombella, has been charged in Travis County with hindering apprehension, a felony.

Investigators say 52-year-old Magdalene Bombella admits paying for hotel rooms for her then 17-year-old son this summer so he could have sex with his probation officer, 47-year-old Cynthia Kathaleen Brown.

There are also allegations that Bombella purchased crack cocaine and used it with her son and Brown.
