Tennessee Woman Accused of Raping Boy

(Murfreesboro, Tennessee) A 45-year-old medical assistant, Brenda M. Strahan, has been indicted on four counts of statutory rape of a 17-year-old male student who attended Blackman High School.

According to Murfreesboro Police Detective Tommy Roberts, the alleged sex offenses were initially reported via a referral from the Rutherford County Department of Children's Services.

Roberts reported the boy, who has since turned 18 and graduated from Blackman, told him Strahan performed oral sex on him a number of times throughout 2007 and 2008 -- they once even had sex behind a local grocery store that was under construction after she called the high school to sign him out.

“The victim stated Strahan would call the local high school that he attended and pretend to be his mother and check him out of school on multiple occasions,” Roberts reported, adding it was during a time the boy was living with Strahan and her husband.

Police would not disclose why the boy was living with the couple or their relationship to him.

Strahan will be arraigned on Tuesday.
