Missouri Teacher Accused of Sex with Boy, 16

(Kansas City, Missouri) A 35-year-old teacher at Truman Elementary School, Toni R. Warren, was arrested Tuesday for allegedly engaging in sex with a 16-year-old boy.

Warren faces charges of statutory sodomy, second-degree child molestation and providing pornography to a minor.

The boy, a student at another Hickman Mills school, first met Warren in September when he stopped at Truman Elementary School after his classes to catch a ride to basketball practice. They exchanged cell phone numbers and began calling and sending text messages to each other.

Eventually, they allegedly agreed to meet at his relative’s house. After engaging in intimate acts, Warren allegedly told the boy not to tell anyone because she could lose her job.

The boy said he quit talking to Warren when he began getting more serious with a girlfriend “his own age,” according to court records.

Warren was booked into custody on Tuesday. No bail amount has been reported.
