Woman Cuffs and Bites Husband

(Fairfield, Connecticut) A 37-year-old woman, Helen Sun, has been charged with assault for allegedly handcuffing and biting her husband, Robert Drawbaugh, in an unorthodox attempt to reconcile.

Fairfield Police received an emergency cell phone call from Drawbaugh last month asking to be rescued from his wife. When officers arrived, they found Drawbaugh handcuffed to his wife with bite marks on his arms and torso.

Reportedly, Sun had changed the locks on the bedroom door while he was sleeping and then handcuffed herself to him. Sun said she used handcuffs because it was the only way to have a conversation with her husband.

Well, it's not surprising that Drawbaugh filed for divorce yesterday in Bridgeport Superior Court. Drawbaugh indicated that his seven-year marriage to Sun had lost its magic.

Sun faces charges of second-degree reckless endangerment, third-degree assault, disorderly conduct and first-degree unlawful restraint. She was booked and released on $25,000 bond.
