Florida Woman Arrested for Child Sex Offenses

(Manatee, Florida) A 30-year-old local woman, Tawnya Rae Burrows, was arrested Saturday on alleged child sex offenses.

Burrows faces charges of sexual battery, lewd and lascivious exhibition and introduction of obscene material to a minor.

[A]n 8-year-old boy and his 7-year-old sister told authorities she molested the girl, performed sex acts in front of them and also molested their 2-year-old sister.

Manatee County Sheriff’s Office reports say Tawnya Rae Burrows, 30, often had care of the children while their father was away, the sheriff’s report said.

The girl also told authorities Burrows put on a pornographic movie in front of the children, the sheriff’s report said.

Burrows was booked into custody at the Manatee County Jail with bond set at $71,000.
