Homeless Woman Arrested for Sex with Boy

(Redding, California) A 27-year-old homeless woman, Kendra Rose Trejo, aka Kendra Rose Brown, was arrested this week for allegedly failing to appear in court to answer a misdemeanor complaint charging her with unlawful sexual intercourse with a 16-year-old boy.

The alleged sex reportedly occurred in May 2008 at Burney Creek. The boy's mother alerted authorities.

The boy told his mother that Trejo propositioned him while they were both at the creek, but that he refused to have sex with her, the report said.

He agreed, however, to let her perform oral sex on him, the report said.

But the boy, who was interviewed by a detective in January while he was in Shasta County Juvenile Hall, admitted to having sexual intercourse with Trejo.

"The victim stated he would have never had any sort of sexual relations with Trejo if he'd been in the right state of mind," the sheriff's report said, noting that he said he had consumed a dozen 12-ounce cans of beer on the day of the alleged incident.

Trejo said she doesn't remember the episode because she was drunk. A settlement conference is scheduled for October 26.
