Ohio Teacher Loses License
(Columbus, Ohio) In early 2008, a special education teacher at Newton Elementary School, Jessica L. Negele, was accused of being under the influence of drugs while at school and ordered to take a drug test.
Results indicated Negele had heroin, methamphetamine and cocaine in her system. Meanwhile, Negele resigned her teaching position.
In July 2009, Negele was accused of trafficking in heroin.
In October 2009, Negele was found guilty of trafficking in heroin and sentenced to 10 months in prison.
Today, the Ohio Board of Education permanently stripped Negele of her Ohio teaching credentials.
