PA Woman Gets Prison for Sex with Boy - Updated

(Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania) In April, 25-year-old Janelle Olisewski pleaded guilty to a charge of statutory sexual assault of a 15-year-old boy. Yesterday, she appeared in court for sentencing.

Luzerne County Judge Tina Polachek Gartley gave Olisewski eight to 16 months in the county prison.

"You're a grown woman and a mother who has her own children," Polachek Gartley told Olisewski before handing down her sentence.

"You knew how old he was. Now, I have to decide what makes sense in this awful, awful mess."

The victim's mother said that her son has been adversely affected by incident.

(Pittston Township, Pennsylvania) A 25-year-old local woman, Janelle Olisewski, has been accused of engaging in sex with a 15-year-old boy. She faces charges of statutory sexual assault and unlawful contact with a minor.

The boy’s mother told police her son’s friend supplied her with e-mails sent by the MySpace social networking site to her son about Olisewski having sex with the teen.

Police said the mother talked to her son, who admitted he did have sex with the Olisewski.

The teen told police he was using his mother’s phone to text message Olisewski. The next day, the boy received a message from her stating they would have sex in the near future but he would have to keep it a secret.

After a football game in Duryea, the boy and Olisewski took a ride up to Suscon Road and parked in a dirt lot to have sex, police said.

Olisewski was booked into custody at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility with bail set at $10,000. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for November 10.
