Texas Youth Worker Jailed on Sex Charge

(San Antonio, Texas) A 29-year-old woman working for the Texas Youth Commission, Thelma Nicole Miles, has been accused of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old boy.

An arrest warrant affidavit states Miles met the 14-year-old boy while working as a medication technician at the Abraxas Youth Center.

According to the affidavit, the boy escaped from the center last week and was picked up by Miles at a cell phone store. She then allegedly took the boy to a hotel on Broadway to have sex. Police say she also admitted to taking the teen to a second hotel to have sex with him.

Miles finally took the teen to a home in Bell County, and he was then taken to the Bell County Detention Center and spoke to investigators about what happened.

Miles was booked into custody at the Bexar County Jail with bond set at $10,000.
