Fess Elisha Parker as Davy Crockett
(Santa Barbara, California) Fess Elisha Parker, Jr., the film and television actor who portrayed the iconic Davy Crockett in the 1950s and launched a nationwide craze for coonskin caps, died yesterday at his home near Santa Barbara. The cause of death hasn't been reported. He was 85.
