Teacher's Aide Allegedly Hammered in Class

(Tracy, California) A teacher's aide working with a 3rd-grade autistic child at Villalovoz Elementary School, Lisa Benns, was arrested for allegedly being drunk at school.

On Tuesday, a teacher noticed Benns leaning on a wall after break. Police were then called to the campus.

Benns is facing child endangerment and drunk in public charges, according to authorities.

Benns is a contract worker, not an employee of the school district.
