Woman Gets Probation for Sexting with Boy

(Cass County, Minnesota) A 33-year-old local woman, Maria Kremper, has been sentenced for sending sexual text messages to a 15-year-old boy. She was convicted of a felony charge of communication of sexually explicit materials to a child.

According to the criminal complaint, Kremper was texting a boy and last August, the two exchanged about 1600 text messages. Most of them, the court document says, were "sexual in nature." […]

Cass County District Attorney Christopher Strandlie says Kremper pleaded "guilty" in January. Kremper received 15 months in prison.

However, based on state sentencing guidelines, that was stayed and Kremper was put on three years supervised probation. Strandlie says Kremper will serve 60 days in jail or on electronic home monitoring and will need to register as a predatory offender.

Kremper was also prohibited from having contact with males under age 18.
