(Southern California) One or more individuals are being sought by the California Highway Patrol for allegedly shooting out the rear windows of SUVs for "no apparent reason."
More than 50 vehicles have had their rear windows shot out by either a pellet or BB gun while traveling on the 15, 215, 10, 91 and 60 freeways in Riverside and San Bernardino counties, said Mario Lopez, a CHP spokesman.The CHP is seeking information from the public. No injuries have been reported.
The shootings, which officials believe are coming from someone driving alongside vehicles on the freeway, are described as sporadic - happening at different times of the day.
