Pirates Overwhelmed by Crew

From Maghreb News:
The crew of a Libyan-owned ship held for four months by Somali pirates retook control early Wednesday, European Union anti-piracy mission EU NAVFOR announced Thursday (June 3rd).

One crew member was seriously injured and up to nine pirates were reportedly killed in the incident.

Pirates seized the 4,800 tonne MV Rim on February 2nd. The crew retook control of the ship south-east of Garacad, off Somalia's northern coast.
Imagine four months captivity on a stinking vessel off the coast of equatorial Africa. The crew's homicidal rage toward the pirates is understandable.

Buy that crew a round of cold drinks.
