GPS Tracking of Students
(Cook County, Illinois) The Palos Heights School District is outfitting students' backpacks with a small GPS units to track when students step on and off buses.
It's imagined that a future step in tracking children will involve the neonatal insertion of an RFID chip under the skin of babies. The chip will be loaded with birth, demographic, genetic and biological information which can be easily scanned with a hand-held reader.
