Juror Voices Bias on Facebook

(Detroit, Michigan) With a trial underway, one juror used Facebook to enthusiastically contend that the defendant was guilty even before the prosecution had finished presenting the case.

Juror Hadley Jons, 20, wrote, "Gonna be fun to tell the defendant they're guilty."
The post was reportedly discovered by the son of defense attorney Saleema Sheikh.

"I would like to see her get some jail time, nothing major, a few hours or overnight," Sheikh told the station. "This is the jury system. People need to know how important it is."

Circuit Judge Diane Druzinsk, who reportedly called the post "disturbing," promptly replaced Jons with an alternate juror.
Jons may face contempt charges.

In any event, I must ask: Does Facebook make one stupid or is it simply a moron-helper?
