(Blackwood, Wales) A 36-year-old music teacher at Oakwood Comprehensive School, Debbie Lloyd-Jones, has been accused of engaging in inappropriate relations with several girl students, ages 13 to 16.
A disciplinary tribunal is hearing the case after being alerted by the girls' parents.
“Mrs. Lloyd-Jones showered and involved in inappropriate behaviour while pupils used the showers,” said Huw Roberts, who presented the case against her. “There may have been some horseplay and they splashed each other with cold water...There is no suggestion of sexual connotations.”I contend that a 36-year-old woman showering with 13- to 16-year-old girls is unusual and somewhat suspicious. In any event, Lloyd-Jones quit her job.
At the tribunal, Roberts accused Lloyd of buying two teenage girls teddy bears, jewellery and perfume, and telling them not to show their parents.
Lloyd also allegedly sent over 1,000 text messages to one of the girls, including ones that said, “I love you.”
