Woman Gets Prison for Sex with Boy, 16 - Updated

(Fort Worth, Texas) Missouri resident Katrina Childress, 33, has pleaded guilty in Tarrant County Criminal District Court 371 to sexual assault of a child under 17 years old and was sentenced to five years in prison.

Childress and the teen had lived about 30 miles apart in eastern Missouri south of St. Louis. She told investigators that she met him several months ago when he texted her.[…]

The teen's family reported him as a runaway Jan. 3, according to the St. Francois County, Mo., Sheriff's Department.

So, the relationship between Childress and the boy started with texting. Imagine that?

(Fort Worth, Texas) A 32-year-old Missouri woman, Katrina Childress, has been accused of engaging in sex with a 16-year-old runaway boy.

Childress faces several charges, including sexual assault and unlawful restraint.

The woman arrived in Texas last week with the teen and her two children, ages 7 and 11.

Bedford police arrested the woman on Saturday after checking the registration of her vehicle at a Bedford motel parking lot and discovered that the vehicle was associated with a missing teen in Missouri.

Childress was booked into custody at the Tarrant County Jail with bail set at $65,000.
