(Pontiac, Michigan) A 23-year-old local woman, Torrie Emery, has pleaded no contest to the second-degree murder of 21-year-old Alesha Abernathy. Consequently, Emery was sentenced to 18 to 60 years in prison.
Reportedly, Emery was feuding via Facebook with Danielle Booth, a passenger in Abernathy's car, when Emery rammed the car. Booth was seriously injured and Abernathy died.
Emery apologized to the family of 21-year-old Alesha Abernathy, who was killed in the July 21 crash that involved a dispute with another woman over the affections of a prison inmate.Senseless.
Emery's 3-year-old daughter was in the car at the time.
Authorities say Emery saw rival Danielle Booth in the passenger seat of Abernathy's car and gave chase.
