(Detroit, Michigan) Reportedly, there are 657,000 feral cats in Detroit, making the sight of a songbird unlikely.
For comparison, the 2010 Census assessed the population of Detroit to be 778,002 people, a decrease of 18.2% from the 2000 Census.
Simply put, there are more than 4 stray cats for every 5 people living in Detroit and the ratio is trending toward parity.
