(Seminole County, Florida) An ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) teacher at Woodlands Elementary School, Erika Nogueras, resigned on Wednesday after being accused of helping students cheat while taking the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test (FCAT).
Nogueras, known to her students as Ms. Rivera, faces possible misdemeanor criminal charges, punishable by a possible 90 days in jail. Check the informative video.
I would contend that helping students cheat does not, in fact, help students.
