Oklahoma Woman Gets No Jail for Embezzlement

(Skiatook, Oklahoma) The former president of the Skiatook Parent-Teachers Organization (PTO), Kara McBride, pleaded guilty earlier today to embezzling funds from her organization.

For the felony embezzlement, McBride was sentenced to five years of probation.
In accordance with a plea agreement, Tulsa County Special Judge David Youll made no finding of guilt and granted a deferred sentence.

That means McBride, 36, can have the case dismissed without a conviction if she completes her probation.

Youll ordered her to pay $5,350 in restitution.
McBride was also ordered to pay court costs.
