Tennessee Woman Gets No Jail in Rape Case

(Cookeville, Tennessee) A 22-year-old local woman, Felicia Rickett, has pleaded guilty to engaging in sex with a 16-year-old boy.

In exchange for Rickett's guilty plea, a two-year sentence for statutory rape was suspended.
Police officers said they had received allegations that young boys and others had been smoking marijuana in a N. Dixie Avenue residence and said when they went there to investigate, they found Rickett in bed with the boy.

After further investigation, she was charged with statutory rape and also with soliciting sexual exploitation of a minor, the latter charge based on a photo police said they found on the boy's cell phone.
Rickett will be on judicial diversion for two years, must register as a sex offender and pay the "sex offender tax/fine" required in state law.
