Sex Trafficking Case

(Lubbock, Texas) In August 2011, a 19-year-old local woman, Megan Lee Norman, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to engage in sex trafficking of a 16-year-old girl.

Yesterday in U.S. District Court, Judge Sam R. Cummings sentenced Norman to five years in federal prison followed by five years of supervised release.
According to court documents released in March 2011, an undercover Lubbock police officer responded to an online ad and found Norman and a 16-year-old girl waiting in a hotel room.
The Project Safe Childhood organization is credited with identifying the sex trafficking offense to federal authorities.
