FARC Camp Attacked by Colombian Military

(Bogota, Colombia) Defense Minister Juan Carlos Pinzon held a news conference to announce that the Colombian military bombed a FARC camp and killed 39 rebels.

He described the bombing of the rebel camp as the biggest blow against the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, or FARC, in the past five years.

Twelve alleged rebels were also captured during the military operations on Tuesday and Wednesday, Pinzon said.

FARC is believed responsible for last week's Colombia-Venezuela border attack on Colombian soldiers, killing 11.
