Kentucky Teacher Guilty of Raping Boy

(Somerset, Kentucky) A 34-year-old teacher's aide formerly at Southern Middle School, Christy A. Wilson, has been accused of engaging in sex with a 14-year-old boy who was Wilson’s daughter’s former boyfriend.

Wilson pleaded guilty to one count of third-degree rape of a male student less than 16 years of age.

“I had sexual relations with a minor,” Wilson said in admitting to the crime.

Court records show that the relationship started when the boy was 14 in 2009..and it lasted 3 years until the victims’ family found out about it and contacted Kentucky State police.

“He (the victim) was a student at Southern Middle School. And during the time he was a student, she was a teacher’s aide,” said Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney Jeremy Bartley.

Wilson is currently out of jail on house arrest but prosecutors want the judge to give her a prison sentence when she’s back in court November 16th.

Bartley said Wilson will be required to register as a sex offender.
