Florida Teacher Accused of Roughing Up Students

(Clearwater, Florida) A 44-year-old special needs teacher at Skycrest Elementary School, Melanie Jo Fox, has been accused of smacking around two students she teaches.

Fox was arrested by Clearwater Police to face two counts of child abuse.

"The teacher did admit to some allegations, and was arrested on two counts of child abuse of a six and and eight-year-old, both with special needs," said Clearwater spokesperson Joelle Castelli.

Fox is accused of binding the hands and pulling the hair of the six-year-old girl, and pushing down the eight-year-old boy.
