Idaho Woman Accused of Sexual Battery of Minor

(Boise, Idaho) A 27-year-old local woman, Amanda R. Sheets, has been accused of engaging in sex with a teenager in January 2012.

Sheets faces a charge of sexual battery of a minor between the ages of 16-to-17.

Boise police began their investigation into the 27-year-old Sheets after getting a call from a third party on Feb 29. Police say Sheets and the teen are known to each other.

Police turned over the results of that investigation to Ada County prosecutors, who issued an arrest warrant for Sheets earlier this month.

Sheets was booked into custody Tuesday evening.
