Kentucky Teacher Guilty of Sex with Student - Update

(Louisville, Kentucky) Former teacher Jessica Boyers pleaded guilty to multiple criminal charges stemming from her relationship with a 13-year-old student in 2013.

Boyers, 26, accepted a plea agreement Friday morning in Jefferson Circuit court to serve 10 years on charges of second degree rape, second degree sodomy and first degree sex abuse.

Thursday, Boyers entered a guilty plea in Oldham Circuit Court on charges stemming from the same student relationship and agreed to serve 12 years, according to court documents.

Sentencing is scheduled for May 7.

(Louisville, Kentucky) A 24-year-old teacher at Highland Middle School, Jessica M. Boyers, has been accused of engaging in sexual relations with one of her students.

Boyers faces a charge of sexual abuse of a juvenile.

According to an arrest report, Louisville Metro Police found Jessica M. Boyers, 24, around 9:45 p.m. on April 11 in the company of a juvenile in Buechel Park in the 200 block of Alpha Avenue.

The report states the juvenile told police there had been sexual contact between the two and that Boyers was a teacher of the juvenile.

Boyers was booked into custody at the Louisville Metro Corrections and subsequently released on her own recognizance. A court appearance is scheduled for Tuesday.
