Officials with the Othello School District said the inappropriate conduct between the former fifth grade teacher and the ten-year-old student began around May 30. Police said the alleged victim was in Davis’ reading class. Davis also took the boy to a movie, according to investigators.
Officers said that another teacher alerted school administrators Davis was acting inappropriately with her student.

Lisa Davis has a long career and has never been accused of anything but doing her job exceedingly well, to the point of being nominated as teacher of the month, through a large city news station,by her student, and winning the award. My daughter had her for a teacher and I was a mother volunteer. Of course, I not only didn't witness anything inappropriate but I never sensed anything odd between her and ANY of her students. I have had the occasion to be in her home and casually know her family. My daughter was in the same graduating class as one of her sons.
Many parents have worked in her classroom and none have sensed any wrong doing. We can't all be naive.
Lisa is a woman of integrity and moral character and well respected by everyone in the community, it seems, except the teacher's aid who thinks she gave a student too much attention both in and outside the classroom. What does that mean exactly? Keep in mind he was her reading student, in her classroom for possibly 45 minutes a day. Also keep in mind the aid earns approximates 15% as much as Lisa.
More than that, Lisa has only been accused by the aid, the boy did not come forward and in the 6 or 7 weeks since the accusation no other children have come forward and no one else in the community has come forward to accuse her of any wrong-doing. The accuser seems to have skulked into the background as well. Where is she to stand her ground?
The strongest argument of all is Lisa has not been charged with ANYTHING! So, unless and until she is, there really isn't much to argue or debate. There is an outstanding teacher who has been accused by a seemingly anonymous teacher's aid, in all probability, out of spite or jealousy. No evidence, no witness, no victim, no story.
