New Jersey Teacher Accused of Sex with Student

(Wall Township, New Jersey) A 22-year-old 9th-grade English teacher at Wall Township High School, Kalee Warnick, has been accused of engaging in a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old male student.

Warnick faces charges of aggravated criminal sexual contact and endangering the welfare of a child.

The Wall Township Board of Education will review Warnick’s contract renewal, according to board President Eva Applegate, who said she is aware of the criminal charges against Warnick but could not comment on them.

“The board will be discussing the employee’s contract renewal in a closed session next week,” Applegate said.

The incident was reported to police July 14, the complaint stated. According to Board of Education agenda documents Warnick had worked as a home instructor for the district in June.

Warnick was booked and released on $50,000 bail.
