Facebook Comment Leads to Murder

(Oklahoma City, Oklahoma) A 20-year-old local man, Antwion Courtez Martin, has been accused of fatally shooting Edmond James Tyree, 48, for a remark posted on Facebook about a swimsuit picture of Martin's girlfriend, Sharda Perkins. The remark was "damm," a compliment.

Martin faces counts of first-degree murder and shooting with intent to kill.

Getting on Facebook may have cost an Oklahoma City man his life.

Police reported the man was fatally shot after making a comment on Facebook about a young woman's swimsuit.

The woman's boyfriend is accused in the killing.

“This is a perfect example of some of the ridiculous reasons people kill for,” Oklahoma County District Attorney David Prater said.

Martin is in custody at the Oklahoma County Jail.
