Alabama Teacher Accused of Stealing Meds

(Decatur, Alabama) A 29-year-old substitute teacher with Decatur city schools, Emily Addison, has been accused of stealing prescription medication from school grounds.

Addison faces a charge of second-degree theft of property.
Someone at a school in the City of Decatur system, which school was not disclosed, reported the theft of the medication to the resource officer working at the school.

The officers met with the victim and determined that prescription medication had been stolen while on school grounds. Addison was developed as a suspect, the report said.
Addison was booked into custody with bond set at $2,500.
