California Teacher Booked on Narcotics Charge
(Roseville, California) A 39-year-old English teacher at Oakmont High School, Amy Lynn Davidson, has been accused of possessing prescription narcotics allegedly obtained from a student.
Davidson has been charged with suspicion of possessing illegal narcotics, soliciting a minor to assist in getting drugs and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Oakmont High School's principal, Rob Hasty, posted a notice on the school website that read in part: "We received information yesterday that a teacher at Oakmont High School had purchased pills through a student."Davidson was booked into custody at the Placer County Jail.
Hasty also said the teacher had been placed on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the matter.
